How to cure?

Before you fix the registry, it is strongly recommended to take a registry back up because if anything goes wrong, you will need to restore it back to a previous working version.

Then, goto windows start > "run" and type here > "regedit" to enter the registry

Now, you can edit, add, and remove corrupt keys.

Make sure not to edit or remove the wrong keys because it can result in a total system crash and the only option left is to re-install windows.

Trying to fix manually is only for windows registry experts and I do not recommend it for the average PC user.
